May it pleaſe Your Excellency
The Bearer M.r Occom is going by the
Direction of the Commiſsioners of the Board of Corriſ‐
‐pondents in Connecticut
to meet Gen.l Johnſon, if it may
be before the Indians from remote Tribes who have joynd
him Shall be diſperſed, in Order to make proposals to them of
Receiving Miſsionaries and School Maſters among their
Reſpective Tribes next Spring or when a Door may be
opened for them & also to obtain a Number of youth to be Educated in this School under my Care. and he now waits upon you for Such Re‐
‐commendation, or Com̅iſsion as Your Excellency Shall ſee fit to
give him, and as you may think moſt Subſerviant to the Deſign
in view.
