Dear Stefansson,
Immediately on receipt of your letter of
the 16th, I wired you as per confirmation attached,
and no doubt by to-morrow I will receive a wire from
you fixing whether we meet in New York on the 2nd of
June, or in Chicago between the 8th and 10th. I
can come to New York if you feel this is best, but I
would rather meet in Chicago, although I shall be
governed entirely by your wishes.
My hearty congratulations on the honour you
will receive on June 6th. It is, as you say, a complete vindication from anything Anderson may have said.
You have given me just the information I
wish in order to map out the proposed financial plan
to discuss with you, and I hope by the time we meet
you may have further assurances that the lease will
be forthcoming from Ottawa at an early date. Meanwhile I feel confident we shall have no special difficulty in arranging the finances for this season’s
operations.
Without more until we meet, I remain,
Yours sincerely,
^
