My dear Stefansson,
I duly received your letter of October 15th, and I think a little time will straighten out all the difficulties in connection with the "Orion”. I have had Anderson write to Mr. Lindeberg, and we will no doubt hear from him in due time.
As far as I can learn, there are no more mails to Nome this year, so we cannot depend upon any further information from that source. However, there is no very great harm done by the delay.
You spoke in one of your recent letters of being in the Middle West shortly on a lecture tour. Just how far West do you hope to come, as there might be a possibility of my running down to see you provided my own plans for my trip East do not materialize.
It seems to me pretty well certain now that I shall go to England early in the New Year, perhaps just after the first of February, but I may not come East before then.
Do you expect any further word from Crawford this season, or shall we have to wait until the "Silver Wave" makes here trip to Wrangle Island next Spring?
Our new letterheads should be ready almost any day, and I will send you a supply as soon as they arrive.
Meanwhile, with my best, I remain,
Yours sincerely, A.J. Taylor [: w]
