Dear Mr. Stefansson -
I returned from Wash.
ington the a.m. The Board gave
me a hearing, but wired me today
that our proposition did not come
within the perview of the Act under
which they operate. It is tough to
go back without accomplishing
my mission - I hope Carl will
have better luck - He will have
to finish the work. Get your [Oes]
[Marines] friend, Mrs. [Finkbine] and
others to consider the investment
and pass the good work onto
Carl. Mr. Wiestling promised to
take care of any "Tab" I may have at
the Club - perhaps one meal - I find
I do not get time to run over - Have re -
peatedly tried to reach you by phone today - Thanking you
for many courtesies. I remain Sincerely Yours G.J. Lomen
Mr. Geo. T. Slad did not come through.
I may not be able to see Tex Ricard -
