Dear Mr. T H Parker,
I am sure I owe you
an apology for not writing you
sooner. I had not forgotten but
have been just putting it off. Your
le letter of July 2[: 9]
th
Ju just to hand
today on landing at Nome. I arrived
at Seattle July 7th all right but
Mr. Stefansson decided to hold us
until August. This delay was most
unfortunate as the August boat did
not sail till the 18
th
and we were
delayed five days landing as there is
no harbour at Nome - only a shallow
beach. I had a very enjoyable
month with Mr. Stefansson in the
west.
We expect to push off
in a few days for the north- object
is to establish a base for Mr.
Stefansson next year. There is another
object in view which you will
later hear of. Afraid there is no time to
avail myself of your offer of maps. Give my regards to
Dr. Collins in the Geological Survey if you should see him.
I would be very glad to receive
[: Mr. Parker]
Sept 2nd 21
next year the reports of the
Geological Survey + the Ont. Bureau
of Mines
I if you could forward them
to me.
My permanent address will
be
Stefansson Arctic Exploration + Development Co. Ltd
614 Credit Foncier Bldg
Vancouver, B.C.
This letter is rather hurried as
montly mail is leaving in a
few minutes.
