September 27, 1920
Dear Knight:
According to present arrangements I am to lecture in
Portland, Oregon, this fall, probably November 18. I am looking
forward to seeing you and your people at that time.
Please write me telling something about how you are
getting on. The moving picture plans I wrote you about have not
developed, perhaps through my absence from New York and my in
ability to handle them myself. If I can get any good company
to handle them I shall give you the job. Unfortunately I must
tell you, however, that you had better not rely on it.
It has occurred to me this moment as possible that
Mr. Ellison of the Ellison-White Lyceum Bureau might be willing
to handle you as a lecturer with my films. You will see what
I am writing to him from the enclosed carbon.
Mr. E. L. Knight,
McMinnville, Oregon.
