Broadway, at 156th St.,
Dear Sir:
I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated
April 10th, enclosing a carbon copy of a letter addressed by you
to Captain Bernard. I handed the letter over to him,
I amy say that I have rarely, if ever, met a man
so simple, so unassuming, so free from boastfulness, so intellig
ent in weighing evidence, so careful and guarded in his every
statement as is Captain Bernard.
Believe me.
Very sincerely yours.
The above copied by me this 24th day of December 1924,
at Ketchikan, Alaska.
