Dear sir
I received your favour of November the 20th by Mr. McCluer
Informing me of your want of Money, for I have used all
my endeavors but can't procure you only £
Mr. Smith is very Sorry he has put you to so much
trouble to so little effect, but cannot by any Means
raise the Money at present although his Circumstances are
Good - Your land at present is but of little advantage
to you, have not received anything for this Summers Rent at present
as I was not able to sell much of the Hay and the Land had a
Crop of English Grain upon it which is now in the Barn.
my Father thinks it would be much the best for you to
Dispose of it, and thinks it will sell very well as land goes
but not for so much as it was appraised at
and there must be a time for payment -- Hagar still
continues to be a Charge and it now falls to your Lot to keep
her, do not expect to get her kept for less than four and 6 pence
a Week -- There are still some Debts of Nando's Contracting
due but am not able to Collect enough at present to pay Dr. Gails
Order and am afraid it is returned to you as a letter of
his was mislaid and I did not receive it in a Month from
the Date, but wrote him this Morning --
sir we all enjoy a good State of health at present
and are glad to hear of yours and your Families and
of the agreeable prospect you have before you --

I am Sir Your humble servant
Gideon Buckingham
