me to Send Caeſar up to yo by his Canoe, & tho' the Meſsage could not
come
— Soon after I received that Meſsage Esq.r Morey came, who informed
me that he had yr Leave & Authority to Stop & employ Caeſar at his Houſe
which he proposed to do but on Seeing the very Special and great Neceſsity
I Stood in of his Service at preſent an accot. of My principal Cash's
being gone he kindly reſigned up his Rights & and upon this Ground
I venture to detain him till I have further Orders which I hope
Will not be 'till my Cash Returns — & upon further Consideration I have
concluded to buy the Negro if he proves to be the Slave Which you
take him to be, provided you continue to be of the Same mind
as you was when you Offered him to me for £20. Lawful money & I
Will ingage to Make the payment very ſoon after I can be certified of a
good Title to him — pray Sir pleaſe to write me your mind in the affair
& What acco.t Yo have of Caeſar from Richard Grimes & Benjn Buyarnton Which with Reſpects & good Wiſhes for Your proſperity
