Know all men by theſe presents that I Alexander Phelps of Hebron in the County of Hartford and Colony of Connecticut for the Consideration of fifty pounds sterling money of Great Brittain Received to my full Satisfaction of the Revd Eleazer Wheelock DD. of Lebanon in ye County of Windham and Colony afore said, Do Sell Convey, Confirm and Deliver unto him the said Wheelock his Heirs & Aſsigns, one certain Negro woman named Dinah aged about twenty years to have and to hold sd Negro woman as a ſervant for Life, Witneſs my Hand & Seal this 30th of January AD 1769 ſigned ſealed & Delivered

I Alexander Phelps, on Condition the negro woman named in the above written Bill, shall Die or prove Lame or uſeleſs, Do promiſ to pay to the Revd Eleazer Wheelock above named the above said sum of fifty pounds Sterling, when and soon as sd negro woman Shall become uſeleſs as above sd with the Lawfull Interest. ⁓ Witneſs my Hand this 30th of January 1769 Alexander Phelps In presence of - Ebez; Green Silas Dewey
