Know all men by theſe Present that I Ann Morison
of Hartford in the County of Hartford and Colony of Connecticut
in New England for and in Consideration of the sum of Seventy
five pounds lawfullmoney of said Colony to me in hand paid by
Eleazer Wheelock of Lebanon in the County of Windham and
Colony aforsaidClerk the Receipt whereof I do acknowledge and
my Self therewith Contented Have and by theſe Present do Bargain
Sell make over and Deliver in Open market a Negro man named
Exeter of the age of forty eight years a negro woman named Chloe
of the age of Thirty five years and a negro male Child named ⁓
Hercules of the age of about three years all Slaves for Life To
Have and to Hold the above Deſcribed negros unto him the
said Eleazer Wheelock and to his heirs and aſsigns for and
During the Sum of their sd Slaves natural lives free and Clear of
all Incumbrances whatsoever and Further more I the said Ann
Morison do hereby Covenant by theſe Present to Warrant and
Defend the said negroes unto him the said Eleazer Wheelock and to
his heirs and aſsigns against the Legal Claim or Claims of
all Persons, whatsoever In witneſs whereof I have here unto
set my hand and Seal this Thirteenth Day of May AD 1762

Memorandum, May 13th : 1762 that the said Ann Morison
doth Covenant and agree that where as the above said negro
woman hath been Some time past affected with a Rhenmatic
Difficulty, that if that Difficulty should Return upon her by means whereof
she be Disabled from Buſineſs that then she shall abate five
Pounds lawfull money on the Note given for the above Sum of
Seventy five pounds of Even Date with theſe present
