To all People to whom theſe Preſents ſhall Come, know ye
That I william Clark of Plymouth in the County of Plymouth
yeoman For & In Conſideration of the ſum of Fifty Pound
Lawfull money to me before the Enſealing here of Paid, on ſecund
to be paid the Receipt wherof I do hereby acknowledge &
my debt therewith Satisfyed, & paid, Do by theſe Preſents
Bargain Sell & Convey unto the Revdd mr Eleazer Wheelock
of LeBanon in the Colony of Conecticutt. Clark, my
Negro man Named Ishmael, being a Servant for life, to
Hold to him the ſaid Eleazer& his heirs Exec.r adminrs and
aſsigns; againſt me & my heirs Execrs& adminrs and againſt the
Lawfull Claims of all other Perſons whatſoever, hereby Covenant -
ing that the ſaid Ishmael ſervant for life, is well & ſound
and free from any Incumbrances, and I the ſaid william do
hereby warrant the ſaid Ishmael as a ſervant For life to the
Said Eleazer Wheelock & his heirs & aſsigns againſt all Perſons
whatſoever, witneſs my hand & Seal February ye 7th 1757
