Conſarning a Scandilous Defamation Spred by Capt Daniel
Smally; tending to Defame Samuel Smally of Sd Lebanon;
the father of her Child which She was Suppoſed to be pregnant
With When you was Carried to her by her maſter Dean, as
you have before teſtified — he did Carrey you —
Anſwre. upon the Deſire of Capt Dean and his Wife I asked
her who was the father of her Child. She Said She Darſt not
tell. I askd her again; and Said She mght tell me; She
Said again She Darſt not tell becauſe he said he
would kill her — afterwards She Said when I aſked
her again, who was the father of the Child: that it was
