ITEM 3 Limitation Order Does Not Affect The Operation of Companies - Nippon Sangyo Keizai - 14 Dec 45. Translator: S. Iwata.
Extracts:
According to the Company Control Order on 11 December 1945, Allied Headquarters ordered the freeing of the funds of the ZAIBATSU, as well as 336 Companies (great shareholders) associated with the ZAIBATSU. Needless to say, the parties associated with the ZAIBATSU have a great interest in this order. The Ministry of Finance gave the following explanation:
The order prevents the funds of the companies concerned with the ZAIBATSU from being used in unfair dealings. As there is no interference with the management of these companies, business will continue as usual.
As to the banks associated with the ZAIBATSU, the payment of deposits and premiums will not be limited, the limit that exist will allow for the payment of dividends but this payment will be put under the control of Allied Headquarters.
The question of salaries and bonuses does not concern the employees but only the advisors and officers. The order will be put into effect after the conference between Allied Headquarters and the authorities.
