I only juſt tell you yt I Saw mr Occom yeſterday. he talks
of a journey to North River next week, hopes to get Some
thing that way—the preſb.ry on L. Iſland will try between this
& next Seſſions — It will be neceſſary to give him Some recom‐
mendation wth an Inlimation of his, or reather ye Schools neceſ‐
ſities - if you will write & Send by mr Woodward, I will Sign
Si poſſum. I have half a notion to go to Boſton next mon‐
day, if my way is made clear — if you can find how to Sup‐
ply my pulpit by any means ye Sab: after — for I purpoſe to
be gone but one Sab:, & I believe I Sha'n't go unleſe I can
Serve you much — it is late, & I hate to ride in winter. If you
think it beſt for me to go i.e. if I can Serve you thereby (& I
want to See good friends yt way) you muſt write me by mr Wood‐
ward
& Send him down on Saturday; & tell me if my pulpit
can be Supplied — for I have been So much from home that
I dare not leave ym vacant & I have no proſpect this
way — I am not Set on going — only would if I could — We are
all in health except our Baby which is yet poorly — with much
affection to you & madam from [illegible]me & mine I Subuſcribe
my Self.
