Mr. Wheelock go to General Johnson to obtain his favour and influence to obtain a grant of Lands for this School; and to obtain a charter from the crown for said School and recommendations of the de­ Sign of going to Europe to Solicit charities for the Support of this School and missions
The Rev. Mr. Jewett laid before this board a Letter to the hon­ ourable Commissioners of Boston to clear Mr. Occom's character as was agreed at the meeting of this Board in March last; which the board accepted as Sufficient to that End the Same as Suitable; and exhorted both to take care to maintain peace and brotherly love; and that Mr. Occom take pains to conciliate the Indians to the Rev. Mr. Jewett as fast as circumstances will admit, and that he attend his lectures as often as he can without prejudicing the cause. the design of Such   a Conciliation.
