I only just tell you that I Saw Mr. Occom yesterday. he talks of a journey to North River next week, hopes to get Some thing that way—the presbytery on Long Island will try between this and next sessions — It will be necessary to give him Some recom‐mendation with an intimation of his, or rather the Schools neces‐sities - if you will write and Send by Mr. Woodward, I will Sign Si possum. I have half a notion to go to Boston next mon‐day, if my way is made clear — if you can find how to Sup‐ply my pulpit by any means the Sabbath after — for I propose to be gone but one Sabbath, and I believe I shall not go unless I can Serve you much — it is late, and I hate to ride in winter. If you think it best for me to go i.e. if I can Serve you thereby (and I want to See good friends that way) you must write me by Mr. Wood‐ward and Send him down on Saturday; and tell me if my pulpit can be Supplied — for I have been So much from home that I dare not leave them vacant and I have no prospect this way — I am not Set on going — only would if I could — We are all in health except our Baby which is yet poorly — with much affection to you and madam from me and mine I subscribe myself.
yours as ever Nathaniel Whitaker. November 14. 1764
