Elisha Frisbie was Levi Frisbie's father. There is next to no historical information about him. Since Levi was a charity scholar, it is safe to assume that his father did not have very much money or, given Puritan economic norms, education or influence, a conclusion borne out by the free-flowing syntax of Elisha's letter to Wheelock, in which he requests that Wheelock take his son as a student.
