Originally gave Jafet Lindeberg two checks fifteen hundred and
five hundred later he wired me asking I wire you two thousand dollars
meantime relations between myself and Lindeberg had changed so that I
wired you that sum and advised Lindeberg if this not satisfactory would
wire him two hundred fifty additional stop have heard nothing from you or
Lindeberg but yesterday both above checks amount two thousand dollars
presented by Irving National to Colonial Bank which refused payment upon
order given by me after I had wired seventeen hundred fifty to you stop
please convey information on this telegram to Lindebergs San Francisco
office and reply night letter collect Harvard Club New York regret
confusion hope you do not blame Lindeberg in any way.
