[Rev.d | Rev.]Rev.dRev. [& | and]&and very dear Sir
This is only to introduce [ye | the]yethe bearer, my friend
Tobias Shattock[pers0476.ocp] to your notice [& | and]&and respect. I knew nothing
of his embarking for Europe[place0070.ocp], [till | 'til]till'til he advised me of it
by a line a few minutes ago, [yt | that]ytthat he designs to sail by [ye | the]yethe
with [ye | the]yethe next fair wind.
He [& | and]&and his brother[pers0661.ocp] have been a little while members of
my school[org0098.ocp], they behaved well, [& | and]&and made laudable [pro—

[ha'n't | haven't]ha'n'thaven't had longer opportunity to be instructed, [& | and]&and [eſpecially | especially]eſpeciallyespecially
as Tobias[pers0476.ocp] is, in a judgment of charity, a real christian, [& | and]&and
likely in time to be fitted for [above] [ſpecial | special]ſpecialspecial[ſpecial | special]ſpecialspecial [usefulneſs | usefulness]usefulneſsusefulness — The Tribe depend
much upon him to conduct Their Affairs for them — He will
be able to represent to you, the calamitous state they are

I very much pity them — if they can't find [redreſs | redress]redreſsredress in
this suit they are undone— it may be god [above] isis [designd | designed]designddesigned to
thrust out the christians among them, to make a new

advised of [ye | the]yethe [neceſsity | necessity]neceſsitynecessity of credentials in such an Affair.
however I hope god will appear for [ye | the]yethe help [& | and]&and relief of

his tribe— excuse my haste [& | and]&and confusion; [& | and]&and pray for.
