My dear Children
You have repeatedly gratified me with your Letters,
Some of which are So genteel, and polite that I am not [aſhamed | ashamed]aſhamedashamed to expose
them, as the performances of Boys of Your Standings; and by all I am
[refreſhed | refreshed]refreſhedrefreshed with the [accots | accounts]accotsaccounts of your Health, [& | and]&and [wellfare | welfare]wellfarewelfare. I have [ſo | so]ſoso good [accots | accounts]accotsaccounts
of your [Satiſfaction | satisfaction]Satiſfactionsatisfaction, good Behaviour, Advantages, and Proficiency in
your [Buſineſs | business]Buſineſsbusiness that I covet to give you as large an Opportunity at College
as can [conſiſt | consist]conſiſtconsist with my [Truſt | trust]Truſttrust, and your being [imployed | employed]imployedemployed [moſt | most]moſtmost directly in
[Subſerviency | subservience]Subſerviencysubservience to the great [Deſign | design]Deſigndesign in view. But I very much [regrett | regret]regrettregret your
neglect to learn the indian Language, than which no Branch of Learning,
excepting [chriſt | Christ]chriſtChrist and him crucified, is more [neceſsary | necessary]neceſsarynecessary for you.

Literature which will be [neceſsary | necessary]neceſsarynecessary for him, I dont think it will be [adviſeable | advisable]adviſeableadvisable
to comply with the proposal. [Phyloſophy | Philosophy]PhyloſophyPhilosophy, [Hyſtory | history]Hyſtoryhistory, Oratory, the art

If you go into Schools in the [wilderneſs | wilderness]wilderneſswilderness in the Spring it will be of great
Advantage to have Some previous Acquaintance with the Indian Language
at [leaſt | least]leaſtleast So much as to [converſe | converse]converſeconverse with them about common Affairs.
I have laid a Plan for comfortable Studies for you; [& | and]&and Deacon Woodward[pers0610.ocp] is
now [proſecuting | prosecuting]proſecutingprosecuting the Same. I hope he will accomodate you, [ſo | so]ſoso at [leaſt | least]leaſtleast, as
to be a proper medium between your [preſent | present]preſentpresent Situation, and the indian
Country, So that you may not have the mortification to [paſs | pass]paſspass from the one
