Rev. Sir

I intended to come up to your
house before now, but I heard, you was Coming down
So far as my house, and I have been very ill for
Some Days, I have a bad pain in one of my Shoulders.
I was at Dr. Whitaker's last Wednesday, and he informs
me that You had been very ill for Some Time, and
I would come up next week, but I am afraid to ride,
for only riding to Norwich and Landing last wednesday
has greatly aggravated my Pain, but I intend to be
up as Soon as I can; the rest of family are well, this
with Duty to you and Madam, is from

your most unworthy
Servant
Samson Occom

To The Rev. Dr. Wheelock
From Mr. Occom
