Rev. and dear Brother,

our friend and Brother
Mr. Occom is now at my house, and came here
with a View to proceed on his Way to the
Presbytery's committee appointed to dismiss and
recommend Him;— but I am fully persuaded
(for some reasons) that he had best proceed
no farther at present.— Indeed I take the Liberty
to think that it will not be best for Him to have
a dismission at all. If He should, or should only
have a recommendation, by all means I should
think this best done, at our stated session, the
last Wednesday in October.—
I have a thousand Things I want to converse
with You upon, and long for a personal
Interview; but the Lord only know when this
will be, or whether ever. — the Lord is yet
with us here, and things are comfortable. —
ever Yours in the Lord of Love,
Samuel Buell
