Representation having been made t[illegible][guess (h-dawnd): h]o this board
that apprehensions have arisen in the minds of
some persons, that monies collected in Great Britain
by the reverend Meſsrs Whitaker and Occom, for the
uſe of Moors Charity School under the direction of the
reverend Doctor Wheelock, have been applied by this
board, to the use and benefit of Dart[illegible]mouth College
Resolved, That this board have never had any
controul or direction of said monies, nor have they
to their knowledge at any time received or applied any sum
or sums there of to the use and benifit of said
College; but on the most critical examination relative
thereto we are convinced this board have ever consid‐
ered themſelves as having no concern with the applic‐
ation of the said monies, but that they were subject
to the application of the late reverend Doctor Eleazar
Wheelock
and his Succeſsors in the Presidency of Moors
Charity School
and them only — Nor have they
to their knowledge any intereſt in their hands on whi‐
‐ch renvenues have arisen to them as the effect of
monies laid out by Doctor Wheelock or others, which were
of monies collected by Doctor Whit[illegible]aker and Mr Occom
in Great Britain as aforesaid; Aand ſhould any such
in future arise it is the sense and intention of this
board that such revenues be applied by Doctor
Wheelock
s Succeſsors Solely to the Objects for which
those donations in Great Britain were maide —
