Rev,d & Hond Doctor,
the will of the Lord reſpecting his Siſter,
who is now removed by death —
Was with her in Sickneſs & death — & now
she is gone, has left the moſt comfortable
Evidence behind — that she has gone to
be with Jeſus, and her Reſurrection will
be glorious —
large as could wiſh — And this week
propoſed it to the Conſideration of the
Great Men — told them I wanted to know
how great a number they intend shold
be my steady, conſtant Scholars —
Alſo, informed them of my deſign to
catechiſe my Scholars once every week; and
should be glad the Young people would at‐
‐tend — They have eſtabliſht the Number
21 to come conſtantly
as they all git home from abroad. . .
Some of the Children learn pretty well, &
some are dull enough — It hurts me very
much that they can't underſtand what they
read — Pleaſe to accept of much Duty from,
Your moſt
obedient,
David Avery
