I Mary Sequatar Secutor acknowledge, and de&slong;ire desire to do it with Shame and Blu&slong;hing blushing before God and all who are acquainted with my Sins, that I have been repeatedly Scandalously guilty of the Sin of Drunkene&slong;s drunkenness , and particularly la&slong;t last Evening being the Evening following the Lords Day Dec.r December 27. 1767. I went into the School while I was intoxicated with Liquor and there behaved my&slong;elf myself in a Lude lewd and very immode&slong;t immodest manner among the School Boys, I also in a vile manner profained profaned the Secred sacred name of God. Whereby I have brought Reproach and Ruin upon my&slong;elf myself my Character and my precious Soul, have greived grieved the Heart of my Reverend Patron Who has been unwearied in his Labours of Love & and Care and kindne&slong;s kindness for me and for the School, I have brought irreparable Reproach upon the School and the important Cau&slong;e cause which I ought to have regarded more than even my own Life, and have awfully di&slong;appointed disappointed & and bla&slong;ted blasted all the hopes that have been conceived that I might in my Place have born borne my part in furthering the Same. I have Set a mo&slong;t most Ill Example before the Schollars scholars which if they follow they can expect nothing but that the Cau&slong;es causes of God denounced again&slong;t against Such will take place upon them, and that that with me they mu&slong;t must Bear their part in that eternal mi&slong;ery misery to Which I Stand Ju&slong;tly justly condemd condemned . but mo&slong;t most of all is the wound which I have given, to, and the Reproach I have Cast, upon the Name of God, and the Cau&slong;e cause of the dear Redeemer — this I have done again&slong;t against multiplied learning Councils counsels , In&slong;tructions instructions and all appointd appointed means and Endeavours from Day to day used with me. I desire to humble my&slong;elf myself before God and man for What I have done and implore divine pardon through the Blood of Christ. I also a&slong;k ask forgivene&slong;s forgiveness of the Revd Rev. Doctr Dr. Wheelock, and of all his family & and School and of all who are knowing to my heinous offenses — and I promi&slong;e promise by divine Grace to walk humbly and in all Re&slong;pects respects circumspectly, in all Re&slong;pects Respects for time to come — and it is my full purpose to leave off the use of all Spirituous Liquors for time to come — I confe&slong;s confess it is Ju&slong;t just if I am &slong;ent sent away with di&slong;grace disgrace from this School as unworthy Such the Honour of being a member of it, but if it may con&slong;i&slong;t consist with the Glory of God & and the Reputation of this School I earne&slong;tly earnestly & and humbly de&slong;ire desire I may yet be continued upon trial, and if my fruits Shall be becoming a penitant penitent , that I may be admitted re&slong;tored restored and my Scandalous Crimes be conceald concealed as much as may be from my Nation and from the world.
