Handwriting is small, somewhat scrawling and occasionally difficult to decipher. There are several uncrossed t's that have been corrected by the transcriber. Large sheet folded in half to make four pages is in good-to-fair condition, with light staining and wear, and light-to-moderate creasing. Brown-black. The first page of the letter is on two recto, not one recto; the second page is on one verso.

The Occom Circle Project is a digital edition of letters from and to Samson Occom (1727-1792), with other of his works. The documents in question are all housed in Dartmouth College's Rauner Special Collections Library. Occom was a Mohegan Indian, intertribal leader, public intellectual, and the most important Indian writer in North America in the 18th century.
