Since Time after I wrote to you, was at Dr. Wheelock's, and found myself under a mistake, for he told me, he had not received any Letter from our Honourable Trustees Since we got home from England, and finding, he had Some Letters from England Concerning Dr. Whitaker's Conduct whereby he gave a displeasure to our most worthy Trustees and others — and told me also, he had excluded him from trust here — I thought it my Duty, to relate the whole matter to him, and he was much astonished with it — and he desired to know my opinion of the Honorable Trustees, and I freely told him I looked them as the most worthy, honest, and faithful men disinterested in their trust — I believe there is no danger of alienating his mind from the Honorable Trustees The good old gentleman is most wore out, yet he is steady as the Sun he keeps on in good work — his Confi dence is in god Still — there is good news in the wildnerness among the Oneidas, many are hopefully Turned from darkness to vital godliness —
