Sir.
On sight of Mr. Keens Order by, and in favour of Mr. Occom, I drew on Messrs. Lathrops in his favour for the money before I knew that he had received of the Trust in England an allowance for the Support of his Family in his absence. he had received the money and disposed of it all, before Dr. Whitaker arrived and informed me of the True State of the Affair. and there is no way to get it of him 'til it can be taken out in preaching. I paid upwards of £70 sterling for his Family, in his absence — His Sails were too high in his Tour and he was well high overset but God has mercifully I hope taken a course to recover him. he Seems to be humbling himself and walking softly — and I hope will yet bear a Zealous part in helping forward the Redeemers cause among his savage brethren —
I have Drawn since the account which I herewith trans‐mit a Bill in favour of Messrs. Lathrops for £200. November 8. and expect to draw another in favour of Mr. Brimmers soon for. £100. I have been as prudent as I could — Mr. Kirtlands sickness and the Supply of his place has considerably augmented the sum. I am with much affection and esteem, worshipful Sir.
Your obedient and very Humble Servant Eleazar Wheelock
