abstractOccom expresses his strong desire to have three or four days to spend with Wheelock, as well as his disappointment that Wheelock did not visit him when he was traveling nearby. Occom notes that he does not plan to go on a mission until spring, but that he has plenty of work preaching.

Writing gives me but very little Satiſfaction, I want to [illegible]Spend 3 or 4 Days, with you at Cohoſ^s^ and to hear and See for myſelf — but you have got So far the other Side of the globe; I am not able to bear Expences So far — and it may be of no profet if I went; I cant find ^out^ the Reaſon, why you ^coud^ not Come to my Houſe, or Sent for me, when you was So near laſt Spring, — I Suppoſe you,d be glad to know, what I owe, — it is between 60 and 70 pounds L.:M:. my Family Charges amount to about 70 Pounds, pr An.. and what my Journey expences woud be, I can'not tell — if I Shoud go on a Miſsion, I Shou'd not pretend to Set out till next Spring, — and I Shoud inſiſt upon Davids or Jacobs going with me — — I have work enough, I might preach every Day I have So many Calls — I was at Stonington Indian Town Yeſter Preaching, and there was a great num^ber^ of People, and a Solemn meeting we had, I believe ^[left]ye Lord^ was there of a Truth, th[illegible]ere was flow of Tears ^[left] ye Lord^ from the bigeſt part of the People moſt all the after noon, and thus I have Seen in many Places where I have been Preaching lately
