General note

Dartmouth is a town, in the county of Devon, which is located at the southwest tip of England on the estuary of the River Dart and known for its deep-water port. The town gave its name to the title “Baron Dartmouth” in the Peerage of Great Britain, which was later raised to “Earl of Dartmouth.”
